Sep 29, 2023 · Husky 550XP is a good saw but Husqvarna is having issues with supplying parts. Echo makes a good saw as well, believe the 4910 is still available but that saw really needs muffler work to realize it’s full potential. The echos are hard to beat for the price. Yep, Jonsered is gone. There will still be Redmax 9000's out there and they are just a rebadged 2188, which in turn is just (basically) a red and black Husqvarna 390. You can crank up the compression by shaving down the base of the jug and doing a squish cut or piston pop-up, and grind open the exhaust and intake ports, as well as the transfers. When E-lux took over Poulan, they created the Poulan Pro trademark on the remnants of Pioneer/Partner. The connection to Partner/Europe was still there, and many models were the same initially (remember, E-lux ruled).The 50 to 1 had lost something like 30% of its original horsepower at the end of the test. For kicks or whatever the test group put the 15 to 1 mix in the engine that lost power on 50 to 1 and checked horsepower again and it came back up very significantly. That is why I choose the richer oil mixtures most of the time.The 620 in the USA has a non limited ignition and a different carb. The second edition 600p cylinder was changed to provide 20% more fuel efficiency. Echo also advertised the HP rating of the cs-590 to be around 4hp. The graph is in the other thread if anyone want like to view it.It's about $9.00 / gal. It works great in moderate temps. If it gets below about 30F , cut it with a little 20w hyd oil to keep it flowing well. IMHO, there is no need to spend the big bucks on STIHL winter grade bar / chain oil or equiv.Trilink uses a superior alloy steel (same steel found in Oregon / Carlton pro chains). As for Chinese products, the Oregon and Carlton LP chains are made in China. Most of their smaller laminated bars are also made in China. Anyways, its a Model 358.350810, 40cc saw. Can anyone tell me the idle and MAX rpms for this saw, so I can give it chance of running right.
